Asti d’Italia participates in Dining Out For CASA

This will be our first opportunity to give back to the community that has made us feel so welcome.  The Dining Out For CASA function allows us to donate a portion of our food sales for the entire day to help benefit and support the Court Appointed Special Advocates.  These hard working individuals work with the children that have been placed in foster care, the unrecognized victims of shattered homes.

Thursday, April 9th, 2009 join us at Asti d’Italia for a simple bowl of pasta, or a full evening’s decadence and help us support a great program.  Feel good inside and out with great food, and a giving spirit.

Reservations are never required, but for this evening, they are strongly suggested.  Please feel free to call the restaurant at 303-457-3900, or make a confirmed reservation online at www.astiditalia.com

We look forward to seeing you all here.

Earth Hour

8:30 – 9:30 pm Saturday, March 28th 2009

In an attempt to reduce our impact on the planet, Asti d’Italia joined over one billion people world-wide and turned the house lights down for the hour, (actually, our guests liked it so much that we left them off and ate by candle light for the rest of the evening).  Since the insinuation of Earth Hour in Sydney, Australia in 2007, it has picked up joiners and followers in every country.  In 2008, global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.  Now among the giants, you can find Asti d’Italia.

Private Parties

Asti d'Italia is the place to entertain for all parties large and small.  The first group to enjoy our space will be The Centennial Valley Animal Hospital celebrating their annual staff appreciation dinner.  Sunday, March 15th we will host the ever important team that keeps our pets happy and healthy.  We welcome the Doctors, technicians, and everyone on the team.  Life would not be as rewarding without the unconditional love and support of our furry and feathered friends.  (The menu being served is available for viewing on the "specials" page of the menus.)

Asti d'Italia is also the place for larger meetings and presentations, with convenient viewing of a power point display for up to 100 guests.  The following pictures were taken at the North Metro Broker's Lucheon where a demonstration and lunch was served to 90 commercial real estate brokers in the area.

 The Soft Opening Special

Every Sunday to Wednesday night for the months of March and April, Chef Greg Keesy will be featuring a three course menu for under $30.00.  Because the Denver Restaurant week program was so well received, we will continue the spirit of this dining frenzy by offering a 'Prix Fix' special for the early week.  Sommelier and Owner Charles Stanford will happily pair your dinner with the appropriate bottle of wine, (50% off with this coupon).

 Denver Restaurant Week(s) (Feb 21-March 6)

We have included ourselves in the Denver Restaurant Week, 5280 Program.  This three course dinner is a celebration of dining with hundreds of participating restaurants in, and around the Denver Area.   The week began on February 21st, 2009, (coincidentally our first day of service to the public) and was scheduled until Friday February 27th.  Because of the extraordinary results and clamoring reception by the 'denver diners' we have joined the majority of the participating restaurants and have agreed to extend the program for an additional week.  Please visit the menus on our site to view our 5280 dinner, and feel free to make a reservation through our site, opentable.com, or by calling Asti d'Italia at 303-457-3900.

We are proud to announce that the long wait is officially over, and Asti d'Italia is open to the public.

Having passed the final inspections and obtaining the pertinent paperwork just before 4 pm on Friday, we scrambled for product for the following evening.  Saturday, Feb.21st 2009 was the inaugural evening of service for Asti d'Italia.  Having only a limited menu available and an untested computer system, (among other things) we chose to simply turn the key in the front door, and hope that we made it through the night.

With a few bumps, and a couple of glitches we recovered smoothly and made a restaurant full of new friends.

We would like to welcome you to join us at The Orchard's newest hot spot, Asti d'Italia for dinner beginning at 5:00pm seven days a week.  Lunches and Happy Hour will be launched within the next few weeks.

Please feel free to drop by, call us at 303-457-3900, or visit the website, (available for reservations on Monday).  Thank you for your unending patience, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Trial and Challenges

“Trials and Challenges” sums up the current status of the construction.  I have been introduced to the 90-90 rule of construction.  The first 90 percent of the build takes 90 percent of the time, and the last 10 percent of the build takes the other 90 percent of the time.

We have just a few finishing touches left and hope to be complete very soon.  We have missed the Valentine’s Day Weekend, but now hope to open for Denver Restaurant Week on Saturday, February 21st.

We thank you for your continued patience, and can’t wait to welcome you into Asti d’Italia soon.

The Month of February

We have arrived at the end of January, and the restaurant is still not quite ready.  However, the finish line is in sight, and we are optimistic that the doors will open in the second week of February.  Drywall and texture have been completed, and painting has begun.  The tile is going down, the carpet has been ordered, and the furniture is waiting to be delivered.  The pictures in the gallery tell the story.

During the month of February, Asti d’Italia will feature a chef’s tasting menu for Valentine’s Day Weekend, and we will be a happy participant in the Denver Restaurant Week program. We hope that you will join us for an experience that will be like no other.

On a side note: I am very much looking forward to having wines stains cover my hands and cloths in lieu of paint, silicone, and drywall dust.

As of the New Year!!

We hope you are have had a full and happy holiday season.  We have also been busy at the construction site.  Weather, and holidays have taken their toll, but we are happy to announce that ASTi d’Italia will be open to welcome you sometime in late-January.

The completed restaurant will feature a walk-in wine room, comfortable bar area, three dining areas and a partially viewable kitchen.  The menu will be based on traditional Northern Italian fare, with a strong focus on local produce and seasonal availabilities.  A complete, approachable wine list based around Piedment, Italy, but stretching as far south as Tuscany, will prove itself versatile enough to complement any occasion.

Local Chef, Greg Keesy, and Sommelier, Charles Stanford are proud to launch their inaugural entrepreneurial effort, and hope that ASTI d’Itlalia will become your new favorite place to have a quick happy hour cocktail, a light lunch, or a celebratory evening of dining.

Looking forward to seeing you in 2009,

ASTI d’Italia

The Construction

Well, all we have planned at the moment is the build-out. A little behind, but back on track.

As of September 16th, 2008 building permits have been issued and construction has begun.  We are a little behind schedule, but that was anticipated.

Due to our delays, our launch date has been rescheduled for January of 2009.

Please feel free to e-mail us at info@astiditalia.com if you have any questions, or would like to be included on our e-mail list.

Wish us luck through the construction.

We are hoping to document the build-out on our gallery, have a look as it takes shape.

Thanks for visiting us virtually, we look forward to seeing you in person soon.
